You know I read somewhere that the addamses are literally incapable of killing each other. And that is why none of them ever seem to die when subjected to obviously fatal things. It's apparently also why the Addams are as twisted as they are. Because as a child is your sibling will for sure survive your pranks become increasingly dangerous until the trauma warps you both

Let me be the paragraph guy. Based on the comics, the reason why the Addams family are strong is because they are the descendants of Goody Addams. Goody is the most powerful esper/witch in the old days, she is so powerful that all evil witches not even dare get close to her. The reason why humans are not killed is because of her strict rule to only kill humans within their property. Any witches killing for pleasure will be hunted by her. Pugsley and Fester heredited the Tank body, Morticia and Wednesday heredited it's ability to manipulate any situation around them thus wise and able to use magic. And Goodys most important rule is never leave your family alone.
