The best vocals I need to hear is “I’m in a house”
Sorry, but a previous video instructed me in how to use cow sounds for vocals and now I can't stop.

SYNTHET CAN SWEAR!? HOLY BEATS
Thanks synthet i was really struggling with mixing my vocal samples before this
I think the lack of vocals in "The Glitch Mob" is much of the reason why i still listen to many of their tracks to this day. Especially in "Head Full Of Shadows," i think adding vocals would ruin the experience. I think the question of "should i or shouldn't i add vocals" depends on how much the melody kinda demands your attention, or maybe, how transformative it is. It's difficult to explain, but it's the same deal with "Sunshower - Home," although it's a very different song. Adding vocals isn't always the right thing to do, but it most often is
filtering lows and highs a lot before adding compression to the vocals is great because it makes it easier for the compressor to create an even overall volume than when it has to fight with the whole spectrum, where it would probably overreact to lowend rumble and certain other transients. and if you want to keep the whole spectrum you can still just use a multiband compressor to expand on the same concept, like you basically do with OTT as well
