Where is the activism in Portland? For a city filled of the most educated, inclusive, humanitarian, charitable, all loving Democrats, why is it still so horrible to even go down there? I lost my job in Portland because of the climate of downtown, my friend who lives in Liar Hill is always having her car broken in to. STILL!! A police force that does nothing. The amount of times I have been on the phone with her and have heard someone screaming in the background, or she has walked upon a homeless camp full of hazardous needles and bodily waste are part of her normal landscape? Where are all the Democratic citizens, on the ground, actually changing something so downtown is far less of a joke and maybe, maybe people can work and live down there again? The people need to fix the city. Since effectively electing people to make the city run actually feels like a pipe dream. I grew up in Portland and now it is just an embarrassment. Never want people to come visit " and see the city." PDX is a joke like all the other major west coast cities. Such an embarrassment.. this has all happened in the last 5 years. There is no one to blame but Portland and who it elects to run the city.
Ahhhh.... the accounting..... the sucking sounds. Like heads finally removed from POSTERIORS. (Though further enemas and an all fluids diet still required) Edit.... I hope that was respectful enough....enjoy life!
