My friends all had favourite Strawhats that we all pretended to be. Usopp was the only strawhat nobody liked so I claimed him as my favourite. After rewatching the show multiple times I fell in love with his character. I just hope more people realise how cool Usopp is

Usopp is hated because he's in a world where training hard can give you godly powers. For example Zoro and Sanji. He just chose to be a coward.

I love Usopp, but this video is probably the worst explanation about what is great about that character and honestly I think that’s why people hate that character so much.

He just doesn't grow. He is always scared no matter what, but his goal is to become a brave warrior of the sea. So must of his growth comes from luck/ plot armor. Like he gets things too easily. He defeats sugar, but kinda by accident and gets praised by everyone as god. That's fine in the one piece world, but the community just says this too many times and it kinda pisses me off. And he has a 500 mil bounty. This guy doesn't really show signs of strength or threat, but has a higher bounty than Nami, Franky, brook, and chopper. It's similar to why I don't like buggy.

From what I've seen, it's lack of character development. Many feel as if he should've learned and done more for the past few years, and despite his unique arsenal and skillful gadgeteering, he hasn't done any more to enhance what he has. It's gotten to the point where non-canon One Piece movies portray him in the way people expect.

I don't mind Usopp, I just don't really care about anything he does or says... As long as he's not being loud its fine if he's there. Like yeah there he is sure, back to the plot now. If I did care about him at all. I'd advise you let him fight smart instead of strong. Show him being clever and punching above his weight. Like it is very possible to do something flashy with it if they just put in the effort.

As someone who would be put in that category, even tho I dont hate him. I would say i dislike him since i really hate liars. I also feel like his scardy-cat gag was over exaggerated since time-skip

He simply is just there for comic relief moments nowadays we are over 500 chapters in the second part of One Piece We don’t have the luxury anymore of being in the Pre-Timeskip we are literally in the END GAME we are near the end of the story let that sink in..

my biggest gripe with Usopp is that he hasnt made nearly any progress towards his own goal. sure he is brave in some instances and was basically a different person with Sogeking, but he has spent basically the entire series being a coward. everyone else on the crew has made progress towards their goal and Usopp has just been forgotten.

Usopp is my favorite along with Luffy. I would like to see another arc where he really gets to shine. Hopefully that is now.

It just inevitable ive seen Franky and Brook get so much shit from random fans for no reason too. That's what happens when you have this large cast of characters, some people will just hate them

Because he hasnt gotten any character development since his introduction. Dressrosa was the last straw. It would be ok if he was scared to take on the toy girl and snot guy but he still tried to defeat them. Instead he was a coward, got caught anyway, and beat them by accident. At this point I'd highly doubt we'd see any development in Elbath, bc Oda would rather write the same tired old gags for these characters instead of give them any real growth.

I began to hate ussop after pre time skip. He train 2 year to get stronger but even after that he always run from fight. All the other strawhat atleast try to fight except nami and chopper who are skillful in their specific task.

The hate he gets is cause he isn't as strong as the others. His fight are often seen as lucky wins. He is a sniper, who almost never gets to do this. Almost always is in close combat. Also what happend on Dressrosa, but people forget with Robin being turned in a toy makes him forget all the progress he made during that time. He used to be terrified of Fishmen and DF users, but now he sees them as any other person. He went from someone that runs from almost everyone, to a person that faces most people. Sure he is still scared, but that the thing he wants to overcome. Many believe that this is the arc where the first Strawhat will make their dream a reality. I believe Elbaph is gonna be the arc where he becomes a "brave warrior of the sea". Im also convinced that together with Luffy and Zoro, he will unlock Kings Haki. Aswell as the ability the people on Amazon Lily have, to coat objects with haki and hit logia users.
