I've never officially joined a militia but you've got my allegiance if ever needed. Eight weeks of boot camp should still be adopted for militias, this way it's well regulated and disciplined.

I first heard about the 3% back in 2015 when we had massive flooding in central Texas they were out helping people evacuate and were bringing people food and water. Took the national guard 5 days to actually show up and the 3% was out there the next day.
