Over 40% of jobs that we do today never existed 50 years ago, while many jobs have disappeared. Life will be vastly different in the next 50 years, but we humans will be fine. AI is a bubble that will burst, just like the Internet Bubble. In 10 years from now, AI will be apart of our lives we won't think of it. I don't pick up my phone and think about how amazing it is, I just use it.
I used to be concerned about self- replicating 3D printers, and machines that were self-repairing... now, AI may be able to self-learn without human training and/or programming ... Humans have still not found out what our purpose is, or might be. I mean, Why Humans? What purpose/role do we play in The Grand Scheme of all that is? Do we, even? Guess we may become obsolete before we ever do.
Does this mean you'll stop the terrible ai thumbnails
Yesterday I came to realise that I'm subscribed to some YouTube channels, and the narrator's voice is the exact same.
I watched a video watching a commercial for AI showing a woman ask for a workout plan, how to plant something etc and I couldn’t help but think, there goes those jobs
The seed is already planted, all we can do now is experience how this plays out, for better or worse.
Climate change becomes a no issue when you have to worry about paying rent and keeping the lights on. Worse when others depend on you. Glad to have these as a problem instead of those ngl
I'm no electrical engineer but how much energy is used in an Ai search? I have to imagine it's minimal. I agree that more oversight should be in place to make sure it doesn't get out of control. But the energy route?? Idk
A single AI query can consume several times more energy than a typical web search. As generative AI becomes more popular, this energy demand will continue to surge. Sound the alarm!
Andrew Yang warned us but people brushed him off
I asked ChatGPT this question: With all the data of people's habits, interests, opinions, proclivities, consumption, political views, etc. collected, wouldn't it be simple for AI to curate news articles, tweets, video feeds, etc. in order to manipulate them and sway public opinion in order to achieve the goals of those in control of AI? and without going into it's response, I will say that I believe this is the single most dangerous aspect of AI and it is terrifyingly being largely ignored while we instead fret over lost jobs. I'm pretty sure that that's what AI would want us to worry about lol
AI is a Win - Lose.. With us ultimately Losing 🤷🏽
They could drastically cut the energy consumption and increase processing power by using nitride based optoelectronic processors in place of the vector processors in the system. These chips use light and optical waveguides as circuit elements instead of transistors. Also its possible to quantum entagle the photons to do large computions nearly instantly. A single chip ony 2cm square wouldbe powered by a laser diode similar to the one in a bluray disk recorder yet have the processing power of an array of 1000 GPU chips 😮
Solar slice sounds like Established titles but for solar panels 💀
I usually leave positive comments but I did not learn a single thing from this video. Tastes like regurgitated reheated leftovers. Added value is slim.
Why do you want to treat a minority as a majority.
I don't think that there will be AI Overlord companies, in contrary: while the training costs continues to increase 2.4x per year for large llm models like gtp or bard, the general training costs ai tasks and llm clone models are decreasing. e.g. according to ARK invest, the training cost of a GPT-3 level model will decrease to $30, compared to $450,000 in 2022. So there will be probably lots of different and indepent and moreover opensource LLMs be running since A.I. is getting more intelligent, it will also be able to basically clone every existing A.I. or software and develop even new software, etc. So everybody and every company will probably use another A.I. for all kinds of tasks with probably the exception of video generation, which probably will be the most ressource intensive A.I task.
Finally a new episode from my favorite AI channel
I asked to see your face a few vids back, to ensure you are not a bot. You are really really good lol. If you want to have a quick FaceTime, I will report to the masses and send you a check from my uncle in Nigeria
