The poor man. His whole life insulted by a disrespectful bad reporter. Making him and his achievements look small.
Just because this old man owns a bike shop, makes a decent living, has a wife and a nice house, and isn't the CEO of a successful online shopping service doesn't mean he's "living in obscurity"
So much disrespect for a person who opened and ran a small business for 40 years. "Toiled away in obscurity"? Wtf.
Damn, they act like He’s living in a dumpster. Chill out.
What a disrespectful report, so if you're not a billionaire your life is a waste? That says a lot about the producers
He did well himself as a businessman until this reporter decided to downplay his achievements just to highlight Jeff's net worth.
Doesn’t want a penny, just wants to apologize and congratulate his son. Respect
Jeff has the perfect backstory for becoming a super villain. Lost his wife, never met his father. Extremely rich.
This is an absolutely disturbing interview making him out to see worthless because he wasn’t crazy successful. Looks like he lived a happy life to me.
"I don't want a penny from him, i just wanna shake his hand and tell him hes done a really good job with his life" Damn that's sad.. and he's passed away now. Poor guy had to die in regret. Seemed like a nice old man.
Do you know how hard it is to have a small business running for that long? Don’t diminish his accomplishments
It’s disrespectful to say he wasted his life fixing bikes
I used to go go this guy to get all my bike parts growing up. He was always very humble. What a trip
The man even passed away without seeing his son for the last time.
I only ever met my Dad a few times and people said absolutely horrible things about him, but when he was dying for some reason I spontaneously moved down to care for him and it was something Ill never regret. It turned out he was the nicest person I’ve ever met, and people would routinely tell me about how much he had changed their lives for the better. Even some important politicians and national athletes. It was really eye opening because he was nothing like what I was told. And you know what? How many people working at Walmart ever start their own business? Probably a tiny fraction of 1%. That’s a pretty good accomplishment for someone in that situation. That’s not exactly a minor accomplishment for someone that poor. Maybe that’s where Jeff got his entrepreneurial spirit from. Not a lot of people would consider doing that. Let alone most people working at Walmart. Would be interesting to see what motivated him to get into business. Maybe they would have something in common
1:05 "he opened up a bike shop and toiled away in obscurity for the next 40 years" great way to describe running your own business for your entire life. Thanks.
I dislike how they downplayed his achievements.
The way they talked about this old Guy’s life is just disrespectful
Ted helped me with my bike when I was low on cash many years ago. I will never forget how nice he was to me.
