@janicevirtue1655

I appreciate your generosity of spirit through this whole ordeal. Social media algorithms might have rewarded you for trashing HH and being outraged and all that goes with it. But you two show us that we can be angry and frustrated and sad without being jerks. The beauty of your approach to life will keep me watching no matter what you do.

@lenjanssen9600

From HH's standpoint, they couldn't afford to not be able to fix the boat that is so publicly broken. From the Wynn's standpoint, every week that goes by is costing them money, I'd suspect that there were lawyers involved and I only hope the Wynn's were compensated for both the original cost of the boat and the lost revenue. It's pretty clear to me, that this statement was a negotiated "Press" release with likely neither party able to be totally frank...as it probably should be.

I'm sure there is much grief on the Wynn's side having invested so much emotionally in this boat. I look forward to their continuing journey and wish them only the best. As someone else said, they could have easily monetized this process to HH's cost. I applaud their taking the high ground and only hope that it has worked out to their benefit.

Here is to the next boat. Wonder if it will be a new one or a previously owned?

@AddictOfLearning

They must have parted ways via lawyer. This was an extremely lawyer written script making sure that things were said exactly as HH wanted. You can see it written all over their faces... especially Jason's. He doesnt look like he wants anything more to deal with HH. And we will never hear the real story, most likely because in order for HH to buy the boat back, wynns will have to sign a NDA and a promise to not bad mouth HH in the future. I dont think HH did this out of the kindness of their heart.

@Julietnboyd1

Excellent job by both parties walking us through the ups and downs of innovation and trials. It’s so nice to see honesty and accountability, and kudos to HH for handling this with earnest. This is real life, so taking responsibility of reality is such a nice and authentic refresher. Thank you.

@dmwi1549

As a worker in marine manufacturing I have seen my company and its subsidiaries buy back boats.
HH is not alone in this circumstance.
It is, “the right solution” in some cases.
I wish HH continued positive progress in the development of these cutting edge boats.
I am vey happy for the Wynns and look forward to their next step in the progression of their travels.

@ericescobar3487

Ever since you showed the video on the stray current and extensive damage done on the metals I expected the boat to be declared a total loss. I'm glad HH decided to buy the boat back, and I'm glad to hear that Nigel Calder will be involved in fixing the issues. That is the right step by the company. Reputation is everything.

I'm looking forward to seeing which boat you decide to buy now. Good luck with everything!

@patriciagolding7092

We started watching you for the RV, we stayed with you for the boat and travel but really we watch you because you are interesting to watch. You will still be interesting and fun no matter what’s next.

@TheDaysOfGlory

Will always support you Jason & Nikki. Always enjoyed your adventures and stories. Wishing you guys nothing but the best in the future.

@BobFirth

We can hear it in your voice that you are so heartbroken over the whole ordeal. You guys have so much class in the way you handled this. Bottom line you got a lemon of a boat and HH needed to buy your boat back. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to reimburse you for 3 to 4 years of your life that leaves you with nothing. I know your spirit will prevail and we look forward to what is next. I’m sure an NDA was part of the deal but all I can say is keep on keeping on and try to keep that positive attitude that radiates from your videos.

@gregeconomeier1476

I think you have made the correct decision.
Both you and HH have handled this gracefully. That is a testament to the character of both parties.
Thank you.

@stephenbmorton

We don't come here every Sunday for Curiously! We come here for the two of you. Sailing helps...but it's your style and commitment to your viewers that brings me back. Your community love you no matter what.

@musicguy866

You guys are professionals, and have navigated through these billows with the harshest winds against your faces. But with all heart and soul you both held tight to the helm and now have finally come to rest in port. You two have given us a wonderful journey, even thou your face and lips are chapped from this life experience. I know that whatever path you choose your members will be along side you. God’s Mighty Blessings on your steps going forward through His Dear Son Christ Jesus bring you new hope, and inspiration this beautiful Spring!

@garybythesea

In difficult times, your characters shine. Go the Wynns

@keithodaniel5065

It is not my habit to comment, but I have been a follower for several years and feel compelled. First, I think you made the correct decision. Difficult, but correct. I have spent over 30 years cruising in multiple boats and suffered through many boating related frustrations. When I first began boating it was my goal to fix everything on the boat and keep everything 100% repaired. I soon figured out that is not possible. All boats always have issues. Then my goal became staying ahead of the repairs and making sure the major issues were addressed and the boat was sea worthy. This proved to be a more sane approach. It was still frustrating to know that things always needed to be fixed, but with this mind set I could ride the wave of "boat enjoyment" and keep the frustrating matters below the surf. This leads me to the HH44. This is a wonderful vessel; however, there are way too many complex systems for two individuals to operate and maintain without professional assistance. You would need a full time marine engineer onboard to ride the wave of "boat enjoyment." That said, as mentioned by other commenters, it is a solid move by HH to take the boat back. They have the ability to sort the issues and I expect in time will resolve most of them. However, in my opinion, it will be several more years (until the systems that they employ become more common place and unkinked) before such a complex boat can reasonably be operated and maintained by a cruising couple. Personally, I hope you buy a more basic boat for cruising and get back out there. There are a lot of folks like me that vicariously enjoy cruising with you two. God bless.

@marshallsokoloff

I haven't even watched this, but the headline made me shed a tear. If there was ever a couple that didn't deserve this fate, it's you guys. I just hope we can find each other again soon.

@katharineross8995

I can't imagine how disappointing and frustrating this situation has been! It's like a divorce, where everyone is leaving broken hearted. I'm so impressed with how steady and how kind you two have been; and likewise am impressed with HH and their messaging. Kudos all around for teaching everyone that we can be kind within conflict. I'll continue being an avid fan of yours!

@gordonchapman222

Guys, that must have been a heartbreaking decision, but definitely the right one. I feel HH have actually made a good account of themselves.
Here's to an exciting future, I can't wait to see what you do next 🍀🍀🍀

@PatriciaRegier

I hope your next chapter includes more smooth sailing for you. Thank you for taking us along, even when things are challenging.

@hibbiteejibbitee

A+++ in the human behavior department by both parties.

@keithcollins6303

No doubt a difficult decision to make with a lot of heartache built in, but the correct one. You've been more than generous with HH and their build of "Curiosity". So glad for all your sakes that a buyback was made to relieve your financial uncertainties. I'll be here to follow your next adventures. You guys are the best.
