My ex was 18 and I was 15 when he raped me and all his friends between 18-23 stood outside as it happened. They said it was consensual, I was too traumatized to know how to proceed. This law prevented my mom from charging him and getting him on a list to protect other girls. Took physical violence against me to get him away from me. It's awful that these things happen and some girls don't get out with their lives.
