Italians are mad wit this one. 😂😂
Lasagna in the crockpot is great too
Here is the secret. Use only water first. Once it is done then drain any remaining water. Then add the sauce in. Now there is no diluting the sauce.
i do crockpot spaghetti sauce with ground beef all the time. but don’t add noodles to the crock pot, just cook them separately when you get home.
What was the temperature you cooked it on and how long did you cook it
How long did you cook everything? I often wanted to try this but I wasn't sure about the noodles
How long does it take to cook in the crockpot?
I prefer to boil the pasta separate and drain. It doesn't take that long to boil pastas.
How does the sauce taste though, doesn't it get watered down?
A perfect example of: Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.
Looks delicious and easy for me to make as I'm disabled and can't stand long enough to cook. 😊
Maybe I missed it, but how long should this be cooked? Thanks! Looks simple and tasty!
Add a cooked pork chop and simmer it in your sauce. It adds an awesome flavor.
One of the first recipes that my father taught me, was spaghetti sauce in the crockpot. He would brown some ground beef and hot sausage, add green peppers and onions and then transfer it to the slow cooker, where he would mix in, jarred sauce. The crockpot would be set on low, overnight and by the next morning, the whole house smelled like an Italian restaurant !!!! It was delicious but over the years, I altered the recipe by using sweet sausage, bacon, pepperoni and onions. But no green pepper. I got the idea for bacon, pepperoni and onion sauce from a recipe that chef Guy Fieri created.😋
Thank you for sharing this quick meal. I would never think of adding dry pasta to crock pot frozen meatballs and sauce. I think I may try it with 1 3/4cups liquid just because yours looks a bit watery for my taste. But Prego has always been a guilty pleasure for me. Even though it is much more watery and less chunky than when it first came onto the market in the early 1980’s when I was in University and living off campus, so was responsible for my own grocery shopping & cooking, it’s still tasty today, if I don’t feel like cooking! 🧑🍳
What temp and for how long? I want to try this some time soon.
The boldness of posting these "hacks".
I would like to remind everyone that sometimes people don’t have a stovetop and simply can’t cook up everything the way they’d like. Shoot sometimes all you have is a microwave and make spaghetti ramen hahaha.
I can hear all the Italian’s cringing because you broke the noodles in half lol I’ve always done that because I didn’t know any better. But, I’ve never thought to make it in the crockpot. Thank you for this! The less time I have to spend in the kitchen the happier I am 😂
