This feels like a non transferable credit college class.
As a music student, this is single handedly the best tutorial and explanation about MIDI with a clear demonstration. Cheers!
I'll tell you what, this video helped me out in more ways than you know and I cannot express enough how thankful I am that I came across this video because I have been fighting with my midi rig for quite a while now, I have a fractal audio MFC 101 mkiii hooked into an RJM RG-16 and boy it's fighting tooth and nail with me but this definitely helped me understand a lot more about MIDI then before so please, my god keep making videos like this for everyone's sake Insanity when dealing with MIDI 😅
Hey man, the best compliment I can give to this video is you are the Rick Beato of wireless gear, midi, and automation. Thanks, this is exactly what I have been looking for. More of this content please.
Awesome. Thanks for helping an old guy understand.
Wow, you made that so simple. I've been so confused about this topic 🔥
This is one of the best explanations of MIDI I’ve ever seen. Been a music producer for years and own some MIDI based gear, but I have always been frightened by these settings. Thanks for explaining it so good!
Thanks. This explained everything. I am a midi expert now. At the very least, I'm no longer a midiot.😄
I wish I had seen this earlier, it might have saved me some confusion. Thanks!
This is the first video that breaks these concepts down for someone JUST starting out. Thank you!!
Hi Scott, This is the best midi tutorial across all tutorials and truly real scenario that you explained. Thanks and a looking forward for more such interesting and problem solving interesting guidance.
Awesome video, I understand MIDI very well what brought me here is using ext MIDI controller to access vintage synths like M1 w/messed up keys that brought me here, to program a controller to control parameters on vintage synths that the buttons are messed up. Although I've all the Korg soft synths & my MOTIF XF fully loaded is my main workstation hardware; hardware synths have that sounds have that extra punch. Thx looks like what I'm looking for, reminders as I set up a ext controller. * Excellent you note both to number MIDI units to avoid global changes of parameters & that some units start at 0 thus to 127 others 1 thus 128 (MIDI basic math). Great stuff. Ty
Best MIDI video I’ve found. Thank you. Seriously.
People below in previous comments said it, and I’ll emphasize their comments by saying how grateful for this video I am. Absolutely incredible tutorial. Thank you very much!
Now I finally got all the MIDI terminology. Thank you!
i went to audio engineering school and didn’t learn about this . thank you so much
That was very informative. I appreciate anyone that shares their knowledge.
Golly performing has gotten technical but also challenging. I gotta dive in head first and learn this stuff. You’re a great help. Thanks
Scott is just second to none. Your videos are so on point. I just hope I get to a point in my music career where I can use some of your suggestions 😊
