I very much doubt that God would curse hummanity by making Cain a vampire. The punishment would be more on us than on him. The Lord marked Cain as a punishment, warning and for others not to slay him.

There was some serious ball dropping during the eden times. The garden got infiltrated by Satan, cain kills his brother, a vampire curse is losed on the world. Then there Lilith who also just got to chil on earth too doing lord knows what. No wonder the big boss had to step-in and go flood.
