age regression is genuinely a coping mechanism that lots of therapists recommend! as someone who does age regress because of trauma, the person you showed in the video is absolutely not age regressing, as they're clearly sexualising it. the simple difference between age play and age regression is that age play is a kink/sexual thing, where people act like a child for their sexual desires (which is weird as fuck), and age regression is something that most people do in private by doing childlike things to relive their childhood, but in a less trauma-filled way. even something small as doing a kids colouring in or watching a couple episodes of a kids show can count as age regression, infact that's what most age regressors do, and not many use a dummy, wears kid-looking clothes, etc. i'm not gonna force this opinion on you, but i just wanted to try to inform you about this :)

I can agree to this a lot. I've been in the BDSM community for a long while now and DDLG (Daddy Dom Little Girl) is such a.. common? kink that people have. I for one AM NOT one of those people, I know littles and are friends with some. But with this type of ageplay, I just cannot get over it seeming like adults playing... cp... That's why despite having "Daddies" as doms before I never ever associated myself with the DDLG Kink because I know for myself that: 1. I do not age regress. 2. I am uncomfortable with even ROLEPLAYING an age less than my actual age (22) 3. Being a little while also in a BDSM Dynamic is a recipe for disaster/ is very disturbing 4. I fuckin despise predators and pedos and I don't want to be involved in even the slightest in fulfilling their sick fantasies. I guess it's also why I almost feel uncomfortable to play a "Mommy Dom" role because unlike with myself, some people DO age regress and I feel uncomfy doing anything title with them, even if it isn't inherently sexual because at the end of the day it's a BDSM dynamic. I know with myself that me being open to using "Daddy" as a title for a dom is just a title and nothing else. Im not sure but I think most people who ACTUALLY age regress due to trauma most likely do not do it in a BDSM setting but more privately. This is just ageplay and it really should be banned

The difference between age play and age regression is that age regression is a coping mechanism for victims of abuse (often SA) to feel like a kid again, before the abuse happened. Age play is a kink. People who age regress do not do it all the time, for me I only do it when I'm sad as it cheers me up. People who age regress should not be insulted for being in relationships. Age regression happens outside of adult stuff because adult things can upset the person when their regressing. Age players only act like children for adult feeling benefit. That's the difference.

This one of those BDSM-related things that just... REALLY should have stayed off the public internet. Kinda like that puppy play girl. BDSM is usually, or atleast very often, caused by/linked to severe trauma, and I really don't understand how it "works" for people, but it does in some cases help if done right. Baby play (or whatever tf they call this) is one of those things that I'll never get, or be anything other than repulsed by. I can understand "playing along" with a partner's fetishes, or even enjoying them to an extent, but I don't think any man could tolerate this unless he was at LEAST like 60% deranged.
