@SnowdogPL

I still can't believe it... It is impossible... My drum and lyrics guru is dead😥😥😥I cry and I'm in mourning😪😪😪Condolence for the family, friends and all fans of Rush😓😓😓R.I.P Neil... My Brother🧡🧡🧡

@4ubiks

A lot of people don't realize how difficult this song is on guitar...Alex Lifeson is one of the best guitarists of all time

@jkerr-bethedreamandthedrea4379

Very talented! Thank you learning and performing Rush music. Both of you are amazing!

@MrShawnster714

...and God said: "I will put the 3 greatest musicians together and I will call them Rush"

@salmonella508

I’ve read several comments on how the death of Neil Peart, a person 99.9% of us have never met, was a personal loss. For me the passing of Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Dusty Hill, Eddie Van Halen, Terry Kath, Jimi Hendrix (just mentioning a few) while very sad, did not effect me as much as the passing of this very important person. These videos, while they are a joy to watch, are a solemn reminder of what is never to be again. Whomever was the first to say life isn’t fair, drove that nail in with one hit.

@wildbill1726

I imagine the NASA guys listening to this masterpiece in 1980, and saying to each other while putting the finishing touches on Columbia 'Hey, let's invite RUSH to the inaugural launch.
And they did.
The result?
Countdown.

@michaelcallisto

This is honestly the quintessential Rush song. It's got everything.

@johndublyoo2553

Outrageously brilliant, but there again, were Neil, Geddy and Alex ever anything other RIP Professor 🥁

@hermanhelmich

I think it's save to say most Rush fans consider Tom Sawyer their quintessential song, but for me it's this masterpiece of a monster
Those lyrics by itself stand out, the odd time signatures, brilliant guitar parts and solo, it's just MAGIC

@stevebergeson5897

Alex Lifeson has said this is the hardest Rush song to play. That's saying a lot. Alex is amazing on this song, as usual.

@SpotWorksLNC

Life and Death is a mystery. Just over a month after this concert Neil’s daughter will be killed in a car accident and his wife would be gone within a year. And now he is gone. Thanks for all the great stories that inspired the music Neil. RIP

@johnkeller5163

Alex Lifeson said a few times in interviews that Natural Science is the most difficult Rush song for himself to play in concert and yet insisted on playing also in set lists. The precision, concentration, and raw energy of this song is simply amazing to behold live.

@jameshicks7125

Back in the early 1980s when I was a young and naive drummer, who forever bit off more than he could chew, formed a band with two brothers. One on guitar and one on Bass who was good singer. We were playing Judas Priest, and some simpler rock and roll. So I said, "Hey let's play Natural Science!" We worked on all the parts over and over and I brought all of Neil's fills to my teacher. We managed to stumble through it though truncated or redacted the solo parts. back then there was no easy way for us to transcribe Alex's solos. I think Rush plays it much better than we did. We ended up learning many rush songs, all with truncated/redacted solo sections. It was a lot of fun, very educational and a helluva challenge.

@BennyWalnuts

Blessed to have seen this performed live. GOAT band and it ain’t close boys

@martincox9691

If you look closely at 2:04, (and a few other places), you can see that Neil is wearing an elbow brace and pressure pad for epicondolitis (fancy name for tennis elbow). The condition is made worse by repetitive arm motions and quick starts/stops of the arm (pretty much the job description of "drummer"). He had to be playing in pretty severe pain, yet it never shows on him. I saw them on same tour ten days earlier, and as always, he was at the top of his game. Much respect to The Professor.

@michaelmccluskey1155

There never was and never will be another band like RUSH.

VIVA la RUSH!!
😔

@gregjones8458

As a life long Rush fan, this in my opinion is the best live version of this song, ever!! Geddy's voice is pitch perfect, Alex's guitar and Neil's drumming are more than spot on, and the tempo is quite a bit faster than the other versions.

@zachm4109

1:38 that riff is my all time favorite, and this recording is awesome

@troybratcher8716

It's obvious Rush is the best rock and roll band ever

@mattpodjeski4194

Anyone know what kind of acoustic simulator pedal Alex is using?
