Super underrated player and the reason i started playing Guitar. Always a pleasure hearing him live! Definitely hope to meet him someday!
WHAAAAATTTTT THIS IS CRAZY!!!!! life is a highway on Cars is probably the first time i noticed the sound of an electric guitar as a child. Cars was my entire childhood and I'm so glad to see this video thanks vertex and mason‼️🛐🛐🛐
one of the most underrated country & melodic bands of all times, sick of a interview man
I guess I’m a rascal flats fan now lol. How could you not be after watching this incredible interview.
Insanely good. Absolute shame these guys aren’t continuing. Massive respect for JDR and his approach and humbleness. Even for a non country fan, these are massive hits.
I’ve been waiting for this for 15 years.
Those 00s country acts that came outta Nashville were full of incredible musicians
What a great interview. I love the flatts and Joe Don seems such a cool guy. I got goose bumps when he told the story of the harmonies ❤️🙏👌😎
It was pure joy watching this. Love seeing the layers of JDR peeled back and to see his joy talking about his bandmates...inspiring. Watching Mason's pure joy during this just shows his authenticity and appreciation for music and artistry. These interviews are a gift to us all.
Incredible. On a human level this is beyond.
Great interview and a fantastic individual. Seem’s very down to earth and humble, but extremely talented.
The family reunion story really hits home. My mom came from a big poor country family of 9 kids. Every family reunion would eventually end up with us all around the piano or on the porch playing different instruments. Every one singing. We still get together every other year even though the old family homestead in the country burnt down.
I have to admit that I have never been a Rascal Flatts fan, but I also haven’t been a detractor. However, after watching this interview how can anyone not be a fan of Joe Don Rooney? Joe Don, you have such amazing talent and skill, but I wish you the most success with your continued sobriety and happiness. You are absolutely right, there are so many others with similar feelings. Best of luck to you, your family, and fellow band mates. I have someone new to cheer for.
Watched the whole thing. This may be my favorite episode yet. Thank you for making these.
Joe Don is such an inspiration. I saw Rascal Flatts in concert on their last tour, and it was amazing!
I don’t care what anyone says. I had a toddler when cars came out. That song holds a massive part of my soul for life now.
This guy changed my life in the early to mid 00's with the solo on What hurts the most. It was a literal game changer in my guitar playing and when I found out he played it on a Les Paul all bets were off. I'm still rippin a les paul in country bands.
Wow….loving this. Such iconic parts that defines classic
Awesome, being waiting for this all month.
