@ApocCharging

"Usually when you get a video like this, they talk for 15 minutes and they don't tell you how much they actually make on YouTube until right at the end. I'm going to do that right at the beginning."
It took you a whole 1m30s after that to finally tell a number. That was an incredibly painful 1m30s. I'm not joking. If you say you'll be different and share a number right at the beginning, the audience better see that within 5 seconds. Our attention span is next to nothing.

@FBNL

The 1 hour critique service definitely sounds interesting

@wilpuriarts5895

Your channel is slowly becoming the most valuable dev channel. Thank you.

@jil-hue

The community is such a great little space! Full of cool and genuinely helpful people. When I first subscribed I only wanted to contribute a bit, but your community is a great place to discuss ideas and post WIPs. And that's coming from someone normally avoiding people in general.

Pretty random thought here, but you got me thinking about the warcraft level editor. Totally forgot that this was a thing.

@jampleygames

12:36 I can relate, maybe my experience is not exactly the same, but when you're teaching absolute beginners, you realize that a lot of them aren't actually interested in learning and lack motivation or excitement. You have to work harder not only to teach them, but also to give them the desire for learning that they lack. This I couldn't always achieve and frustrated me.

Cool video, I wish you luck with your projects!

@giampaolomannucci8281

Keep at it man, because you're going to get big. Sure you serve a niche audience but you are good in what you do, you deserve success.

@erickalfaro8389

That's sick. A professional playtester criticizing my game. I love it.

@awanama_

what i really appreciate about your channel is that you discuss games that various small scale game developer can relate to make. while it makes your channel a bit more niche than (let's say) GMTK, it feels more relatable for developer.
and your approach to discuss the game is more technical and specific than channel like GMTK. so it is more a discussion that is more relatable for developer (which is of course smaller number than gamer or game enthusiast in general).
i hope there are more developer/designer that find this channel and your consultation service

@wdavis81x

Love the transparency. Keep being awesome.

@IsometricGame

Your videos are so honest and genuine. I love it. Keep doing these.

@MarioCola

Liked the video, now let's see what it is about :glasses-purple-yellow-diamond:

@DustinViewfinder

Thanks for the honest pie chart :)
Don't know how they perform, but the i really got hooked on this channel with the "i am a Dr. and i am slicing through" Ogenki clinic vibe videos ( all while reading Han Song's Hospital trilogy). You have a niche(r) audience, but maybe if you'd explain game design failures as diseases or organ failures people might be more attracted to it. people like me like morbid stuff and critique and dissecting are related.

@endorb

"Metroidvanias killed my family" would be a great april fool's video, too bad you've seemingly had this idea in april

@MotherBones

You could make a platform of it, or related second one. Like, I could cameo with business ops for indie game devs, and nerd out on slightly more popular games like The Sims and other such management games…

@Lowwaels

thanks for reality hit hope you fix more and more games keep going we with you and we will try and learn more more with you thanks and love you ♥

@ultimaxkom8728

Oddly(?) useful video. Thanks, doc.

@agent-33

That private review service is interesting.

@ITR

Personally I earn ~2 dollars a week from old videos still gaining views.

@UltimatePerfection

I would be already quarter way to my first payout if YPP didn't put those arbitrary subscribers and watch time milestones when they did, depriving me of the $0.31 I already made.

@RealPeoplePerson

The streamlined critique service would be great. My intention has been to reach out to journalists to get mock reviews, and YouTubers in my niche for feedback. But I suspect few would be keen on doing all the overhead for a few hours of work.
