I quite uh...love Kieran. As a character. I think I relate to him more than the actual protagonist, of course mostly because he actually has a character.

My favorite part of the Dlc is when he actually catches Terapagos, in a master ball no less like the player would do. Only for that Terapagos to Terastallize. Kieran tries to calm it down via summoning it to its Pokeball, only for it to break the Masterball in his own hands. Sending it flying. Bro the way my heart broke đź’”. Dude finally got a Legendary only for it to immediately break its Pokeball. I wanna hug this kid so bad.

@TheReaperofHades

Silver’s arc also culminated in Pokémon Masters with his capture of Ho-Oh, as the Legendary Pokémon only shows itself before Trainers who are pure of heart, showing how much he’s grown and his newfound relationship with Pokémon. And why he appears in the background of his team in various shots of Pokémon Masters.

yoo i thought this had like hella views and stuff, ian realize it was an underground pkmn youtuber till i was 20 minutes in, keep on going this video was amazing!!

@Xylarxcode

If we have a rival, then we also ARE a rival. In every single game. If Blue is your rival, then you are his. Same for Silver, Wally, etc. You've already been playing every mainline game as someone's rival. You just happen to come out on top every time and because we play from their perspective and we're the good guys who put them on the right path, we don't see ourselves as a rival. But they do.

@madnessarcade7447

The xy gang is fun they’re a wholesome bunch

The group of 5 is unique to the series at least at the time

They’re underrated

@lespena3722

I know what you mean.

As crazy as it sounds. I kinda hope to someday in the future we get to play a protagonist in which we can choose if we want to be the traditional pokemon hero or choose to be neutral or take the path to becoming a villain. It would make for an interesting game.

(Also the problem with x and Y I believe is that GAMEFREAK knew they had to change, they had to do something different but just did not know how to go about it and worse they ran out of time before they had something concrete, which is why the X and Y game feels disjointed and incomplete…. Like you said the rivals did not get the time and even the villain is affected as you can see that GAMEFREAK wanted to make a compelling villains but did not really know what to make him like should he be evil like Giovanny and Ghetsis or complex and redeemable like Cyrus? Should we sympathize with him like N or is he right but went about it the wrong way? (Even now they cannot seem to agree with what to do as in some versions he is pure evil, others he is redeemed or shows there is a chance) It’s from this game forward that we see an improvement on both the rival and the villains in future games though there are some hits and misses but still improvements)

@NexusVFD

Well, in my defense I couldnt exactly say, "Well, its not exactly up to me to catch Pokemon to get their dex entries. Its all game mechanics my guy." When N ask's about the dex.

@novicecreed

Something that always felt super off to me was the whole scene with everyone leaving after Kieran lost. Like what do you mean no one stuck around to celebrate or just express shock when this random exchange student that showed up one day and started to rank up fast, just beat the literal champion of the school??
Like one can argue that most didn't like Kieran due to his attitude in the school after Teal Mask, but even so you'd think said people would start cheering for you at most for defeating the "asshole" of the school.
The only person who basically did that was Drayton, and just as you said in the vid, it felt extremely fucked up of him...
Just idk again it felt really weird that they just went "oh he lost? okay seeya" and didn't even bat an eye towards you.

@heroicgangster9981

I feel like Tierno’s arc could’ve been much better if X&Y actually had Pokemon Contests. I feel like if the Showcases allowed boys in the anime, Shauna and Tierno I feel like would’ve been rivals there tbh XD

The themes of X&Y should’ve had a feeling balance from the contrasting legendaries in the generation. X&Y has Xerneas represent life, yet most of the story and gameplay in the games is action.

@basilofgoodwishes4138

I do hope Horizons can handle him better, since the main cast, especially the main protagonist, Liko, has a lot of parallels with him as character, not just with their personalities, but their family origin surrounding legendaries and the sort, so he would have good synergy with the cast, both as friend or even as enemy, if he is the foil.

As for how BB treated him, yeah, Drayton really lacks a dragon's wisdom for this...I do think the player did help Kieran by asking for help and that snapped him out.

@greek1237

I do like Shauna though. I think 3 was 2 much at the time. We needed more Shauna and Serena/Calem with the 3 way rival they did in BW. added 2 more into the mix was 2 much imo.

@ZarBluestar

Was listening in the background. Did I miss Klara/Avery?
