@PRshik

There was something similar.
On October 14, 2009, in Afghanistan, a Russian Mi-26T transport helicopter carried out a unique operation to evacuate a downed American CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

@AJKingsPlayz

Don't leave your helicopter unattended

@ДмитрийЩербаков-ш2я

The CIA spent so much money and time and resources to seize this helicopter when they could have waited three years and bought this helicopter in Russia for a case of vodka. 😂

@Wowreally42

This channel is remarkably good. Love being notified there’s a new video.

@deanjackson2125

Damn Reagan wasn’t playing COD with Russians..

@pumpkingirl4229

😉👍🏼

@michaeltubbs4606

The US already had an MI-24 at Biggs Army Airfield at least 4 years earlier in 1984. I used to watch American pilots test flying it.

@VanessaPaxton

Wait, this helicopter was featured in the movie Red Scorpion which was also released in 1988. Dolph Lundgren shot it down

@aab4219

Not stolen, strategically acquired

@willfilmsstudio

Your videos are simply amazing guys. Such an epic team, would be so cool to see your creation process !

@Fpvchampion

Absolutely fascinating how this mission blended sheer determination, technical expertise, and a bit of ingenuity! Sling-loading a massive Mi-24 Hind through the Saharan night, with only rudimentary navigation aids and the constant threat of detection, really highlights the incredible skill of both the pilots and ground crews. The fact that they improvised internal fuel systems and managed to avoid disaster during a sudden sandstorm is just wild. It's also interesting to think about the impact this captured tech had on Western understanding of Soviet helicopters. For those into FPV or drone recovery, does this real-life extraction inspire any creative ideas for tough retrievals or transport missions in the field? What's the most challenging recovery you've ever attempted?

@DrAdrianJSmith

Just out of pure curiosity and sheer admiration: how many people work on such an animation in your team?

@M1-87

They name the war after the car company 😂

@caseclosed9342

Interesting to see you cover a historical event…
