this is my most honest reply: "I want the job. I've made my research, I've done my homework, and I want the job." I wholeheartedly believe this answer showcases that I am interested in the company, that I have the skills they need, and that I've put in effort on this interview. But, yeah, I understand I have to be better at making a case for myself and leave a lasting impression on the recruiters. I've an interview today. Wish me luck!

I hate those kind of questions. I get they don't know me, but they expect you to tell them what an "extraordinary fit for the role they're asking for" you are. And chances are, you're really not that excellent at it. In my work experience, I've come across a wide variety of co-workers...and none of them completely fitted the role the company was looking for, they all made mistakes and were good at some stuff, while lacking in other areas, of course, me included. Man, I just hate it that people say "I'm good at X, X and Y", while it turns out we're all going to fail at small and big stuff from time to time.

When I was straight out of university I told them straight up that I have no experience but I am willing to learn. I was one out of 4000 applicants that got the job.
