it makes her look like she is dead inside rather than scary for me
Such a small detail yet so effective. Without the shine in a persons eyes they look...souless.
She looks more manic without them. It’s interesting how the smallest detail can change an entire persons appearance
Thats what they do in manga/manhwa. When serious scenes happen, the light in their eyes goes away and its just a solid color, usually just black. Especially for rage scenes
It makes her look more emotionless and dead inside rather then scary.
That first one will forever haunt me.. 😭🙏
This is actually a tool us artist use to envoke fear or and wary feeling as it kinda takes the light out of eyes which makes them appear more serious and dead which is useful when conveying greif anger saidness hopelessness depression etc in art
I’d be so hurt if she encountered Ekko with that look in her eyes. Put the light back in our baby’s eyes man, can’t you see we still recovering😭🙏🏼
So this part definitely makes sense: "Good luck KILLIN' ME cuz I'm already, already, dead inside" yeahh that's the vibe it's givin
It’s such a small detail and yet without it she looks so empty and hollow like there’s no soul inside her
she looks more manic and out of it, completely dissociated type shit, really fits her character tbh if they had used it in some of the scenes
that first pic looks horrifying
First one is gonna be in my nightmares
Actually, in one frame in the show, they removed the the shine and she looked phyco. Its pretty great scene 😅
The first one actually made me shit myself
She looks more insane
One of the reasons she looks dead is because throughout the show, thats actually what they do when someone dies. Seriously, watch through any death scene and you'll see they remove the highlights in their eyes. I always thought this detail was so sick. I love this show sm.
I feel like she wouldn’t have that glint or white speck in her eyes is it wasn’t for Silco
In animated fiction, the "light in the eyes" is used to demonstrate that a character is living. Because we are so exposed to that kind of representation, your brain notices when the light is missing and makes the correlation that "this thing is dead". Removing the highlights of the eye makes her look like a corpse or at least dead inside.
