Most of the time I'm the people pleaser, and when I'm not it's because I'm the brutally honest friend to my other friends who are people pleasers when talking about someone who I despise. If my friend can't talk mad about somebody I'll do it enough for both of us
Funnily enough, I am a mix of both.
I try my best to be the nice friend in this scenario, but push me hard enough, and I snap like a toothpick.
This is EXACTLY me and my friend. She swears so much about people and I agree, but don’t have the heart to say it
God, I relate to this so hard Why did god have to give me the people pleaser stat block?
So fuxking relatable
In the words of Duncan from Thomas and friends: I'm a plain engine, and i believe in plain speaking, I speak as i find
I'm the brutally honest friend and I do have my people pleaser friend lmao. I mean, she isn't REALLY a people pleaser, but when we talk about a special girl everyone hates, I just say the MEANEST things on earth and she's like "that's a bit too much-"
I had this same scenario with a friend i have talking sbout another friend i have so i had to like agree but also dissagree, while making her feel like i understand and she is in the right but that the other friend is a good friend. 😅😂
I tend to keep a politeness of old fashioned nature about myself in general when interacting, but I do not “place pearls before swine”, and so feel absolutely no obligation to be polite to those who are impolite. One reaps what one hath sown, and I do not take any [expletive] from anyone. My knowledge of ‘choice words’ from eras of yore is also quite substantial, which I put to use in such matters as necessary. TLDR; I balance myself in this matter, being able to utter expletive in a classy and vivid manner. Shakespeare, for example, had quite some marvelous insults.
I feel called out. 😂
This is true.
Bro that's ny friend 💀
