I just looked it up. Sir David Attenborough was 97 years young when this was Filmed. Hes been an Icon in my World forever. Im 62 . His Voice is like a Warm Hug. Love him. Thanks David.❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
At 81, I love listening to Sir Attenborough even more, just devouring his enthusiasm and knowledge of the natural world. PBS has been with me, ever since I immigrated to America in 1963.❤
Some of my earliest memories are of Sir David, late 70s through the 80s and this man is still going strong
I love PBS. Thank you for all you do for educating the public at large in a wide variety of topics.
So happy to see David still enjoying sharing the natural world. Just calculated that it’s been 45 years since I first watched him.
Nature and Nova are always excellent. Protect our PBS!
Another fantastic episode! Love Nova, Nature, PBS
I love watching NOVA shows like this.
Sir David Attenborough is among my favorite narrators and presenters, one of a handful that I have enjoyed on Nova and other venues for much of my 58 years. Superb content without the senseless "drama" of many modern narrators. Mammoths and early peoples have always fascinated me and when South Dakota was mentioned, I immediately recalled my visits to Hot Springs (in the southern Black Hills) and the mammoth dig that is located there. This program makes me glad that we've still such competent documentaries that allow the content to speak for itself.
Thanks, Nova, I love everything that has Sir David.
because I am a flintknapper this episode was very dear to me, I have experienced the absolute joy of making tools from stone,it is the most addicting thing I have ever done, thank you nova
I've watched PBS since I was so young. I'll be 60 next month 😁 Thank you PBS, You Rock 👍😎
This made me realize how fragile life is and how crucial conservation truly is. The mammoths may be gone, but their story still echoes through time.
I cannot fathom the excitement they felt when they dug up those huge bones.
Nova is an excellent series, both entertaining and educational. And really I could listen to Sir David read the ingredients from a box of cake mix.
I love Nova and this subject has always facinated me. I found an eohippus tooth in a limestone rock in a shallow rock quarry near Lawrence Kansas and after that endless fossils of mostly plants in that limestone. It was quite an experience for a 5th grade kid.
I cried, unexpectedly, when watching the young javelin throwers demonstrate the incredible skill that our ancestors would have had in hunting. Humans can be quite awe inspiring ❤
I love that we are at a time where scientists can respectfully and happily engage with amateurs who know their stuff. Such a cool interaction that they put together for the couple at the end.
PBS was my first classroom, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
