Seattle here; the season is usually only a week long up here, but I have had a great deal of fun tapping a few nearby Bigleaf maples the past several years. I really like giving "single-tree, ultra-local" gifts to friends. Kind of like cheese made from the milk of one named cow.

We bought a bottle atthe Handmade Holiday Market at the Yamhill Heritage Museum  last December.  We got the first run.
