I saw this show a while back. First episode was probably my favorite because of the mix of mystery and world mechanics the MC had to deal with in that simulation. Everything after that was really good too, but not as fun. Kinda wish there was an anime based in a mysterious broken world like that where certain aspects of reality itself were broken and the MC had to navigate and fix it while uncovering the mystery of how and why the world ended up that way, but AI The Somnium Files anime edition is good too. Have you seen Talentless Nana yet? Now THATS a good show.

It was a pretty okay cartoon. After seeing so much isekai, it just doesn't hit that hard today. Yes, I remember when I saw that mountain head - a little too evangelion.
